#1 What does DIN 7716 regulate?
O-rings are a mass product and are therefore bought in stock and in most cases temporarily placed in a warehouse.
It is important to note that O-rings do not improve with age. It is therefore important that the O-rings are stored correctly in order to maintain their properties for as long as possible.
DIN 7716 was developed to ensure correct storage. DIN 7716 provides guidelines for the storage of elastomers and is internationally recognized.

1. Protected from light sources
2. Humidity not above 70%
3. Temperature constant between +5 and +25°C
4. Protected from oxygen and ozone (especially NBR O-rings)
5. Protected against deformation (no heavy loads on the O-rings)
