Rod seal<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text );\">Definition of a piston seal: The groove is located in the inner part of a piston, for example, and the O-ring inside is pressed radially (pressing line is at 90\u00b0 to the axis).<\/span><\/p><p>In addition to the type of installation, a distinction is also made between static and dynamic applications.<\/p><p><strong>Static<\/strong> = Without movement<\/p><p><strong>Dynamic<\/strong>: With movement<\/p><p>Piston seals are very common in hydraulic cylinders, for example. Accordingly, the majority of piston seals are used as dynamic seals.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a43d2e1 elementor-widget the table on closer inspection:<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b>&nbsp;The groove width is slightly smaller for piston and rod seals. Accordingly, the O-ring is left a little less space in the groove.<\/p>\n<p><b>2.&nbsp;<\/b>The groove depth and thus the grouting is the same for all three static sealing cases. However, in a dynamic application, the groove is designed to be slightly deeper.
