Depending on their application, the components are also referred to as static seals.<\/p>\n<p>Static applications are characterized by the fact that the two sealing surfaces do not perform any regular relative movements to each other.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the static seals on the component surfaces are not exposed to any permanent frictional load. In addition to the static application, there is also the dynamic application, in which the sealing element seals two components that move relative to each other.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Examples of static
