Extruded semi-finished products are used as the starting material. They usually have a round cross-section.  <\/p>\n<p>These round cords are cut to length and then joined together at the ends. The permanent bond is created by an adhesive mixture which, under the effect of pressure and heat, cross-links the molecules (vulcanization) at the joint. Alternative processes for this area of application are endless vulcanization and (but largely detached)
